LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A southern Indiana man was arrested Thursday after an investigation into the battery of an infant.

Trent James Morrow, 24, of Salem, was charged with one count of domestic battery: victim under 14 causing serious injury, and one count of neglect of a dependent causing serious injury. Both charges are Level 3 felonies.

Salem police requested assistance Monday with an alleged battery of an infant who was taken to Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville. Indiana State Police and Indiana Department of Child Services were also involved in the investigation.

Morrow was interviewed as part of the investigation. The child was examined by the Norton's forensic team.
