Two people have been arrested in connection with an Aug. 1 fire that heavily damaged the Health Science Academy at the Marion C. Moore School, according to a news release from the Louisville Fire Department.

LFD spokesperson Donovan Sims said Kaleb Pierce, 18, and an unidentified juvenile were arrested Aug. 8. According to jail records, Pierce is being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections and faces felony charges of arson, burglary, criminal mischief and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. It was unclear what charges the juvenile could face.

A date for Pierce's arraignment was unavailable as of Aug. 8.
