HIBBING, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Crowds gathered outside of Hibbing’s Lincoln Middle School to celebrate the opening of an all-inclusive playground.
To complete the project, the Lincoln Parent Teacher Organization raised money through 40 community fundraisers and help from 70 grants.
Every piece of the playground has adaptive equipment, as well as different communication sets throughout.
“I work in the school as well, in speech therapy, so communication was big to me,” said PTO co-playground lead Kayla Hintz. “As well as working with all the kids in the school and looking at what needs there are and what was missing from the playground that we had.”
It’s safe to say the kids are grateful for the dedication put into the playground. So much so, they have been waiting in anticipation
