DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - The University Nursery School location on Duluth’s Swan Lake Road had an unfortunate surprise Thursday. When staff arrived on site, they found dozens of toys in their outdoor play area, stabbed and destroyed.

Overnight on Aug. 6, staff say someone took a knife to multiple outdoor toys and caused damage to the playground.

CEO Channon Richardson said there’s recently been graffiti, garbage, and some mess-making in the area, but this was much more than that.

“But nothing really malicious, until two nights ago. Yesterday morning, my teachers came into a couple dolls that were outside, and their heads were shredded with a knife,” Richardson said.
