The Caldwell Night Rodeo is entering its 101st year in style.

On Thursday afternoon, the rodeo hosted a ribbon cutting to unveil the completion of the first phase of its roughly $7.5 million capital campaign to modernize and expand the rodeo ground and its facilities while “preserving the Western spirit that has defined the community event for generations.”

Over 100 community members and rodeo officials were in attendance to witness the event, highlighted by the grand opening of the new state-of-the-art announcer box along with six skyboxes, all positioned on the north end of the D&B Arena.
