LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Well-known Kentucky bourbon brands are reporting declines in sales, and distilleries tell us the challenges go beyond President Trump's tariffs.

Financial reports so far this summer show Brown-Forman (5 percent), Wild Turkey (8 percent) and Bulleit (7 percent) are all reporting drops in bourbon sales, and experts says it's time for the big companies to get creative.

"It is concerning," Ryan Cecil said.

Ryan Cecil is the master blender for Louisville distillery Pursuit Spirits, which has done well as a small, niche boutique brand.

They're based in the Butchertown neighborhood, but have expanded their tasting experience to downtown Louisville.
