The Virginia City Pool has announced that it will be closing for the summer later in August.

According to a post from Storey County, the pool's lifeguards will be heading off to college and back to high school for fall sports and classes.

With that in mind, the pool will be closing on Sunday, August 7th, which is a bit earlier than normal.
