LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

The discussion continues over whether to add more metered parking to a 2.3-mile stretch along Bardstown Road and Baxter Avenue in the Highlands.

The Parking Authority of River City conducted a study, looking at adding 328 paid spots.

This week, Councilman Ben Reno-Weber released a statement saying he has met with PARC leadership and the mayor's office.

But before anything happens, he has asked for a comprehensive plan for how parking in the city should evolve.

"The vibrancy of this corridor is my first priority, especially given its importance to the city as a whole," he said.

While some people on Friday told us they feel metered parking could prevent people from taking over parking spots for days, others voiced their concern.
