A suspect accused of entering a home armed with a pipe has been arrested.

Christopher Kane, 49 of Porterville, was arrested.

At about 5:20 a.m. Friday Porterville Police Officers were dispatched to the 1900 Block of North Maston Street regarding a male subject who had forced entry into a residence and was armed with a metal pipe.

Officers arrived on scene and a female began yelling through an open window the male subject had forced entry into her bedroom. Officers entered the home and encountered Kane in the bedroom holding a pocket knife in his hand.

Officers gave Kane instructions to relinquish the knife, but Kane refused to do so. Officers subsequently deployed a conducted energy device, and placed Kane under arrest.
