BRITISH COLUMBIA, Canada (WJW) -- An investigation is ongoing after a young Canadian mother and her baby were killed at a campground last month, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police reported.
On July 31, first responders were called to an area near Comox Lake in British Columbia for reports a tree had fallen on two people.
Upon arrival at Cumberland Lake Park Campground, RCMP said they found a 26-year-old woman dead at the scene. A 5-month-old child was rushed to the hospital but did not survive.
The BC Coroners Service said they don't believe foul play led to the deaths of the mom and baby.
