Six dogs are missing after a massive fire engulfed a home in suburban McHenry County Friday morning.

Just before 8 a.m. Friday, the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the 200 block of South Queen Anne Road after several reports of heavy black smoke in the area. Firefighters arrived within six minutes and found a large cloud of smoke billowing from a two-story home that was engulfed in flames, authorities said.

Portions of the house were already collapsed when firefighters arrived.

Multiple hose lines sprayed the massive fire as a latter truck fed water from above, the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District said.
