Tom Brady’s place in Patriot Nation was immortalized Friday when a bronze statue was unveiled Friday outside Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
The 12-foot statue that portrays Brady with a fist in the air, holding his helmet in his other hand, sits on a 5-foot base, which is shaped to represent the six Super Bowl championships that Brady helped the Patriots win.
Iconic numbers associated with Brady’s Patriot career, 12, 6 and 17 -- his uniform number, his Super Bowl titles and his division championships -- used for some of statue’s measurements.
“First, I wanted the statue to be larger than life, just like Tommy is,” Kraft said. “I asked that it stand 12 feet tall. The granite base was quarried in Vermont. The shape represents the six super bowl champio
