JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Missouri is celebrating agriculture at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia for the next week and a half, but the industry is not at its strongest.

Agriculture is Missouri’s biggest industry, but it’s facing a hard time right now as prices for many of the state’s biggest exports are plummeting. The dean of the University of Missouri’s agriculture department says declining international trade is leading to a decrease in crop prices.

“Many of the farmers have great crops, but trying to sell it in this market is a little bit difficult,” said UM System President Mun Choi.
