ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to the intersection of C.R. 26 and Old C.R. 17 for a two-vehicle crash around 12:52 p.m. Thursday.
The report states a 2023 Mazda CX5, driven by a 57-year-old Diane Bailey of Goshen, was traveling west on C.R. 26 before stopping at the stop sign.
At the same time, authorities say a 2012 Volkswagen Beetle, driven by a 19-year-old Goshen woman, was traveling north on Old C.R. 17.
The Beetle didn't have a stop sign at the intersection.
Bailey then turned left in front of the Beetle.
The vehicles' front ends then collided.
Bailey was taken to Goshen General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way.
The 19-year-old driver was uninjured. Share
