WHITESTOWN, I.N. (Dakota News Now) - The Sioux Falls Little League team took the field in the Midwest Regional Championship game.

It was a rematch with Fargo, and the winner would advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.

Fargo rallied to win the game on Wednesday, 5-4. But this was one game with the winner advancing to the Little League World Series.

The Sioux Falls team had given up just 1 earned run in the 4 games at the Midwest Regional. And they had Murphy Seefeldt ready to go after pitching a shutout in game two.

He got plenty of support right away as the South Dakota team erupted for 5 runs in their 2nd at-bat.

Garyson Rehfeldt’s potential sac fly with the bases loaded was dropped. Two runs scored, and it was 3-0.
