SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The Sioux Falls Little League team is heading back to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, for the Little League World Series, representing South Dakota.
They avenged their loss against North Dakota, shutting them out 6-0.
In Sioux Falls, the city was excited to see their hometown team on a national stage again.
Outside the Shenanigans off Ellis Road, the community gathered to watch the Sioux Falls Little League team win and advance to Williamsport.
“It’s pretty cool to see these younger kids can go out and compete with other kids in the United States,” said Quentin Hudelson.
The current Little League team has been around for 8 years, producing star performers like 1st round pick Marcus Phillips and 2021 Little League sensation Gavin Weir.
