STATEWIDE -- A Maine law that went into effect in July created a bipartisan task force. It's charged with diagnosing problems lying in Maine's property tax system. This week, the members of the Real Estate Property Tax Relief Task Force were announced.

Task force was created under LD 1770, a piece of legislation sponsored by Senate President Mattie Daughtry, and co-sponsored by House Speaker Ryan Fecteau and eight other legislators.

This week, the 15 appointed members of the bipartisan task force were announced. According to the Office of the Senate President, appointments to the task force were made by Governor Mills, Senate President Daughtry, and Speaker Fecteau.
