LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- North Las Vegas police officers shot and killed a man who charged at them with a knife after they responded to a domestic disturbance call.
On Friday, Aug. 8, at around 1:43 p.m., officers with the North Las Vegas Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance in the 3100 block of Emmons Avenue, near East Lake Mead Boulevard and North Pecos Road.
The incident was between a man and a woman who police said were family members.
Arriving officers found a man armed with a knife and gave him "multiple" commands in both English and Spanish to drop the knife and surrender.
Police said the man ignored all of the commands and refused to surrender, continuing to walk away from the officers.
