NEW HAVEN, Ind. — A police K-9 in northeastern Indiana is being praised after she helped find a missing child in a cornfield on Friday.

According to the New Haven Police Department , in the morning hours of Aug. 8, a multi-agency search began for a missing two-year-old child in Allen County.

After a long search, New Haven police K-9 officer "Millie" was able to track down the child roughly 700 yards into a cornfield.

New Haven PD says Millie is the newest member of the department's K-9 squad, having joined "just a few months ago."
