GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, MI — The man accused of stabbing 11 people at a Traverse City Walmart last month will undergo a mental competency evaluation.
Bradford Gille, 42, is charged with 11 counts of assault with intent to murder and one count of terrorism for his suspected role in the July 26 mass stabbing.
Each of the 12 counts carry a penalty of up to life in prison or any term of years.
According to court records, Gille — who was arraigned on July 28 — has since been ordered to undergo a mental competency evaluation.
Gille, a native of Pellston, had been scheduled to undergo a probable cause conference on Wednesday, Aug. 6, and a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
Both court dates have been removed from the calendar, while Gille undergoes the evaluation at the Michigan State C
