KENNEWICK, Wash. – Firefighters swiftly controlled a grass fire on Friday afternoon in Kennewick, Washington. According to Benton County Fire District 1 (BCFD1), crews were dispatched at 1:04 p.m. to a property on E. 25th Ave. near SR 397.
The fire started when the property owner used a grinder, causing sparks to ignite the dry grass. Despite his attempts to extinguish it, the fire quickly spread.
Firefighters managed to control the blaze within about 30 minutes. The property owner sustained minor injuries, but no structures were damaged.
