Daily morning hot drink could slash risk of brain decline
A cup of your favourite drink could help you boost your brain health and think more sharply. New research links moderate consumption to slower declines in reasoning and memory among seniors and comes as a recent study, published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease , examined the relationship between tea and coffee consumption and long-term cognitive changes in older adults.
The findings suggest that moderate coffee consumption, along with moderate to high tea consumption, might be associated with a slower rate of cognitive decline. The study notes that moderate coffee and tea consumption may help protect against specific types of cognitive decline in older adults, especially in areas like reasoning and problem-solving.
