Authorities say after a weeklong search they have captured a man suspected in a shooting at a Montana bar that left four people dead and prompted a lockdown of a neighborhood.

Forty-five-year-old Michael Paul Brown was taken into custody around 2 p.m. and placed under arrest.

The shooting happened Aug. 1 at The Owl Bar in Anaconda, about a hundred miles from Missoula.

Authorities had been searching the area by foot and with the help of a helicopter.

Family members have said that Brown has struggled with mental illness for years, and they had sought help for him.
