DENVER (KDVR) — Tetra, a Denver cannabis lounge, has been ordered to appear in court after city inspectors allegedly saw marijuana and psilocybin sales during a 4/20 event.

The city inspectors also reported there were customers inside the building consuming cannabis, alleging that the licensed premise "lacks a Certificate of Occupancy, which would prohibit any patrons from being inside the building." The city said the licensed area is only the outdoor area behind the building on Walnut Street.

Tetra, on its Instagram account story, said the city is "blatantly" lying and discriminating against the cannabis lounge, and alleged that the "show cause" order was "leaked to the media" before it had been received by the business. Tetra alleged that this was a violation of its due process rights.
