PITTSBURGH - Bryan Reynolds has been a better hitter of late, but hadn't really had a headline-grabbing moment. On Friday, he had the biggest hit of the game.

Reynolds hit a two-out, two-run triple off Reds reliever Tony Santillan in the eighth inning, giving the Pirates lead and an eventual a 3-2 win against Cincinnati. Dennis Santana pitched a 1-2-3 ninth and earned the save, his seventh of the season.

For seven innings, it looked like another game in which the Pirates wasted good pitching. Mitch Keller was solid, but the Pirates looked overmatched against Reds rookie Chase Burns. Burns, boasting a triple-digit fastball, struck out 10 Pirates in six innings. He allowed one run on three hits.
