Celebration of life to be held for siblings who died in Ruidoso flooding

EL PASO, Texas —

A celebration of life event has been organized for two siblings who tragically died in the Ruidoso flooding.

Sebastian Rowan Trotter, age 7, and Charlotte Emery Trotter, age 4, will both be honored at a memorial service that will be held Friday, Aug. 15.

The siblings were visiting Ruidoso, New Mexico, with their parents when tragedy struck. Both parents, Sebastian and Stephanie Trotter were seriously injured in the flooding but were able to be rescued.

Sebastian Rowan was a student at Sgt. Jose Carrasco Elementary School, where he excelled academically and was also an A honor roll student. His obituary mentions that he was also an avid sports lover and looked forward to becoming a professional soccer player.
