GREEN BAY, Wis. -- When the Packers open their preseason slate Saturday night against the Jets, it won't just be the start of football season. It'll be Braelon Allen's return to Wisconsin too.

The former Badger running back and Fond du Lac native is kicking off his second year as a pro. He played in all 17 games for the Jets as a rookie, running for 334 yards carries with 2 rushing touchdowns. He also had 148 receiving yards on 19 catches with a receiving touchdown.

Packers running back Israel Abanikanda played alongside Allen on the Jets last season. He heaped praise onto his former teammate while speaking to the press at training camp on Thursday.
