LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jefferson County Public Schools will soon welcome a new Superintendent Brian Yearwood, who signed a multi-year deal with a six-figure salary to match.
Yearwood, who takes over July 1, will earn $350,000 a year. But he's not alone in the high-earning ranks of Kentucky's largest school district.
A new searchable database created by WDRB News reveals the salaries of more than 18,000 JCPS employees, ranging from teachers and principals to custodians and coaches. The data was obtained through an Open Records request and is public under Kentucky law.
Of those listed, 115 employees make more than $150,000 a year.
The highest-paid employee is current Superintendent Marty Pollio, who earns more than $351,000 annually. Pollio is set to retire at the end of June and will
