The Detroit Tigers had a great first half of the season. Since then, they've been inconsistent, resulting in their first-place lead shrinking to six games over the Cleveland Guardians.
One not-so-pretty stat belongs to slugger Riley Greene, 24, who has made some phenomenal diving catches in left field lately. That's the upside.
The downside: Over the past 30 days, he's struck out 35 times, according to Sports Illustrated. He now leads the major leagues with 153 strikeouts.
