DULUTH — Each August, the summer sounds and sights provided during the Bayfront Blues Festival at Bayfront Festival Park regularly make it a popular place to sit back, stand up and sing along.
The 36th edition is already off to a strong start.
Despite morning rain Friday, the festival wasn't delayed and the sun came out with temperatures in the 80s for much of the afternoon. The festival, which usually attracts thousands during the three-day event, features a mix of blues-rooted performers. Seventeen musical acts, along with special guests, are slated to be part of the 2025 lineup, and leading the music off on Friday were Everett Smithson, Dylan Salfer, The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, John Nemeth and Ana Popovic.
