A traveller has been arrested trying smuggle more than $2 million worth of cocaine, hidden inside cans of cheese, the Canada Border Services Agency says.
The CBSA said the person, travelling from Jamaica, had 18 kilograms of cocaine with them when they were arrested.
The agency posted about the incident on X, formerly Twitter, on Friday.
Border services agents in the Greater Toronto Area arrested the traveller.
The traveller and the cocaine have been transferred to the RCMP, the CBSA says.
The agency did not specify exactly when the arrest took place or if charges have been laid.
