(WHNT) — The Muscle Shoals Trojans and Hartselle Tigers are gearing up for seasons that both programs hope will end with a state championship.

For Muscle Shoals, a one-point win over Hartselle sealed the 2024 Class 6 Region 7 championship 2024. The Trojans advanced to the third round of the playoffs before falling to the eventual state champions, Parker.

The third round of the playoffs is where the Trojans' season has ended for the past three years. Coach Scott Basden says that for the program to advance further than this point again, it's going to take executing in critical situations.
