The Cubs have signed outfielder Forrest Wall to a minor league deal. He joins Triple-A Iowa.

The Iowa Cubs cast out the St. Paul Saints (Twins), 10-5.

Jameson Taillon made a rehab start for Iowa tonight and he looked good. Taillon threw 78 pitches and went 4.2 innings. He allowed one run on three hits. Two of the hits were back-to-back hard-hit doubles. The other one was a 29 mph infield dribbler. Taillon struck out six and walked no one, although he did hit one batter.

Will Sanders went the rest of the way and was awarded the win because Taillon didn’t go five. Sanders’ final line was four runs, three earned, on three hits over 4.1 innings. Sanders walked two, hit one batter and struck out four.
