Friday notes… • ROAD WARRIORS, PART 1: The Cubs won the first game in six of their first 10 series on the road this season, alternating two wins and two losses five times, ending with wins at Cincinnati on May 23 and at Washington on June 3. Since then, they have lost the opener of eight consecutive road series, at Detroit, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Houston, Minnesota, New York vs. the Yankees, on the South Side vs. the White Sox and at Milwaukee. They managed to win only two of those series, vs. the Yankees and White Sox. They split four games at St. Louis.
