CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Browns opened the preseason with a 30-10 win against the Carolina Panthers Aug. 8.
The story of the game remained what the story of the entire training camp has been for the Browns: Quarterbacks. There was an added layer to this one, however, with rookie fifth-round pick Shedeur Sanders making his first NFL start .
Sanders was one of two quarterbacks who played in the game. Tyler "Snoop" Huntley replaced Sanders in the third quarter and played out the duration of the game.
Joe Flacco was a healthy scratch for the game, which was expected after the joint practice with the Panthers Aug. 6. Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel have been limited for at least the last week due to hamstring issues.
