CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - After winning the second Prospect League Championship on Thursday, the Cape Catfish reacted to taking home the title.
Moises Rosario, a Catfish veteran and now a SEMO Redhawk for the upcoming college baseball season, spoke on what it meant to bring home a title to Cape Girardeau.
“It feels great. All the setbacks we had in the season, all the struggles, people getting injured, it’s just great to win it all, to win it all and get to this point,” Rosario said. “It’s just great for the fans. It’s just great for us.”
Fellow Redhawk Tank Sims was awarded the Prospect League Championship Series MVP. Sims batted .571 in the playoffs and went 4-4, batting in three runs and scoring one run in the championship-clinching victory over Lafayette.
