NEW MADRID COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - New Madrid County Deputies say a man who allegedly threatened to kill a deputy has been arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators say they received information that Timothy Gibson possessed meth at his home in Canalou, Missouri.

Deputies say they also learned that Gibson was making threats to kill a deputy who had recently conducted a criminal investigation involving Gibson.

Deputies say several illegal items were seized from Gibson’s home during the execution of a search warrant.

Gibson has been charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The threats are still under investigation.
