Maine is still holding on to its reputation as an out-of-the-way vacation spot, but that doesn’t mean the state doesn’t frequently welcome famous people.

With coastal towns that boast fresh seafood that Maine is known for alongside local hidden gems, the state has always had something to offer for celebrities visiting during the summer months.

This year so far, Maine welcomed many headline-grabbing stars through the peak tourism season.

Starting in May, comedian and actor Seth Rogen made a stop at a seafood restaurant in Kennebunkport. The comedian and actor was welcomed as a “special visitor” at Mabel’s Lobster Claw, the restaurant said in a social media post .
