Blackpool Air Show is taking place this weekend with aerial performances from some of the world’s top military and civilian aircraft.

The RAF Red Arrows are set to take to the skies at 2pm on Saturday, August 9, with an aerial display from the RAF Typhoons scheduled for 5:19pm the same day.

Across both days this weekend, there is expected to be thousands of people attending the Central and North Pier in Blackpool to witness the aerial displays taking place all day on Saturday and Sunday.

The event is completely free to attend and The Air Show Village, located on the Tower Festival Headland, will be open from 11am until 6pm each day.

On the ground there will be stalls, food concessions and family-friendly entertainment.
