A study by SiGMA Play has shown that political streams have drastically increased in popularity as a category in streaming. In 2024, there was a 513% spike in political stream activity on streaming platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and Kick. In fact, political streams have racked up 3.4 billion hours of watch time in the first quarter of 2025 alone. This amounts to a 56% increase year-on-year, with political content on Twitch nearly matching gaming streams in terms of volume.
