Brandon Bingaman is no stranger to golfing on the Western Slope.

Between a prep career at Fruita Monument High School and earning second-team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference recognition as a Colorado Mesa Maverick in college, he’s spent a lot of time on the greens at Grand Junction’s various golf courses.

Between his senior season at Fruita Monument and his subsequent collegiate career, Bingaman gained intimate knowledge of Tiara Rado Golf Course, the venue for this year’s Sinclair Rocky Mountain Open, and it has served him well through 36 holes of the tournament.

He’s only four shots off the lead heading into today’s final round. It’s a familiar spot for Bingaman, who has seen considerable success in multiple attempts at claiming the tournament’s title.
