The Marshall Community Foundation has awarded a $3,000 grant to the Calhoun County Sherrif's Office and the Area Law Enforcement Underwater Recovery Team.
The grant assist the sheriff’s office team expand its life vest inventory, specifically life vests for children and infants, to support water rescues and enhance safety during marine patrols.
The grant ensures ALURT and the Calhoun County Marine Patrol have properly fitting life vests available for public use during patrols when necessary. The effort supports ongoing water safety education.
