BRAWLEY—The Water Tower at Brawley’s Hinojosa Park is set to be dismantled beginning Monday, August 11, 2025.

A public notice from the city reads, “The City of Brawley would like to inform the public of the upcoming removal and site restoration of the elevated water tank at Hinojosa Park. This improvement project is part of the City’s commitment to maintain safety, eliminate obsolete infrastructure, and improve public park spaces.”

The reason for the removal? The tower has been out of service and, according to the city, is no longer functional. The city says it is a safety issue, as the water tower no longer meets safety standards.
