The University of Alabama's sorority recruitment week comes with its own unique lingo.

The language associated with UA's Rush Week is probably familiar to those who have followed along on TikTok, where the #bamarush and #alabamarush hashtags went viral beginning in 2021, or those who watched the 2023 Max documentary "Bama Rush: Acceptance Is Everything."

The event wraps up with Bid Day at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025, when thousands of students find out which sorority has accepted their membership bid.
