A collaboration between Zoo Atlanta and Fort Valley State University (FVSU) will see two students land a summer internship at the Rollins Animal Health Center.
They’ll gain valuable hands-on clinical experience in a setting that is home to more than 200 species from around the world, many of them endangered or critically endangered.
The recently opened state-of-the-art facility features a dedicated laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, treatment, and surgical suites, a CT scanner, necropsy suite and interior and exterior animal holding dens.
The students will also be able to live free of charge in on-site apartments.
