Roman Dolidze vs. Anthony Hernandez, UFC on ESPN 72 faceoff

LAS VEGAS – UFC on ESPN 72 took place Saturday, and MMA Junkie provided round-by-round coverage and official results.

In the headliner, Roman Dolidze (16-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) took on Anthony Hernandez (14-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) in a middleweight matchup. Additionally, recent flyweight title challenger Steve Erceg (13-4 MMA, 4-3 UFC) met Ode Osbourne (13-8 MMA, 5-6 UFC) in a short-notice co-main event at bantamweight.

Round 3 – Lucindo has been overwhealming Hill with hooks, and she continues to do so here in Round 3. Hill with a takedown, but she's not able to control Lucindo and the fight resumes on the fight. Matsumoto works his way back to his feet and the fight resumes in the striking department. Matsumoto throwing a good ammount, but most of it is getting blocked by Johns. Flying knee almost lands for Matsumoto. Johns briefly presses Matsumoto against the cage and the fight goes back to the striking. Matsumoto shoots and presses Johns against the cage. The bell rings.
