The Idaho high school fall sports season is almost here.

Cross country, football, 5A/6A golf, soccer, swimming, volleyball, dance and cheer can all start practicing on Monday.

The Times-News is looking at storylines leading up to the season, which continues today with 6A/5A golf.

The Twin Falls boys and girls teams both finished as 5A runner-ups, while the Canyon Ridge girls became the first team in school history to qualify for a 6A state tournament.
