Located on the outskirts of the city centre nestled by the River Irwell, Peel Park is somewhere that’s beloved by local residents but remains under the radar to those visiting from further afield.

A 30 minute walk along Chapel Street from the city centre will take you to this glorious green space, where vast lawns are overlooked by towering trees and people picnic beside beautiful flower beds.

Approach the park from this direction and you’ll be able to look down upon the river as it bends towards the A6.

In the distance you can even see the distant rolling landscape of Lancashire in the north.
