The Carolina Panthers have released former Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State wide receiver Dan Chisena , the team announced.

Chisena had been with the team for the spring, but will now look to find a new place after being released. Known for his special teams prowess, Chisena has hopped around the NFL.

Chisena signed with the Panthers practice squad in October and even got to play in six games for the team, making three catches for 37 yards in addition to his special teams work.

A special teams standout, Chisena went undrafted after coming out of Penn State in the 2020 NFL Draft. He spent most of his time with the Minnesota Vikings from 2020 to 2022 but joined the Steelers for training camp in 2023, but failed to make the team.
