Park City residents have consistently upheld the core values of small town, natural setting, historic character, and sense of community. They are baked into the General Plan, including the current one. They are what makes Park City different and unique — in the past, present and hopefully the future.

Set by the community, these values do not prohibit progress or development but rather guide Park City’s land use policy in a manner that’s sympathetic to what Park City is today. Testaments to who we are, these principled standards face increasing pressure under the guise of public-private partnerships that deliver a guaranteed profit for developers in a sort of quid-pro-quo to deliver a perceived public benefit in return.
